travellab is pursued by an informal association of artists, scientists and cultural networkers. It engages in development, communication and production of interdisciplinary and global workflows, fostering crosscultural exchange and the usage of divergent cultural codes within computed environments and digitized conditions. It questions societies changing demands in a digital age, with an epistemologic interest in artistic basic research on models for global networking, management and economies.

travellab is a mobile lab for shared resource development in selforganizing networking areas. Functioning as transmitter/transponder, it establishes a transcultural knowledge base on key technologies and standard exchange for communication and incorporation of new informational modes.

travellab works on modular environmental conception and distribution of low-cost high-tech design and tools, aiming to establish a work around and hands on approach on reducing digital gaps, referring to ethics and solidarity as modes of production and identity in post-media electronic time-scapes.

travellab works with principles of multiple authorship, transdisciplinary workflow and information exchange. It hosts content of cultural formats and participates in their conception, funding, promotion, realization, and evaluation, such as art projects, concerts, media formats, lectures, workshops and international exchange programs in the arts of networking.
